Electrical mega menu — proposed restructure

From Jessar's electrical (1).xlsx. The menu goes from six flat links to five groups with thirteen sub-links. Every collection already exists — this is a navigation change, not a rebuild. Counts are live active products.

Now — 6 flat links

Proposed — 5 groups, 13 sub-links

Three things I need you to settle

1 · Four fan SKUs on the sheet don't exist in the store

4-80320 4-80322 4-80327 4-80303 — these are the exact four you asked Jessar about on 08-10 (“I am requesting if we need to add”). Putting them on this sheet answers yes, but no product data, images or UPCs have ever been supplied. Fans will show 2 products until Jessar sends them — same ask as 7-99592 and the 16 bulb/pendant SKUs.

2 · Four live SKUs are absent from the sheet

3-72518 (Receptacles) · 3-72517 3-72503 (Switches) · 3-70629 (Power Bars). These are four of the five you told me to “place where you believe they should go, we will remove later if they advise.” The sheet omits them — which reads as the advice, but it's an inference, not a statement. My call: leave them where they are and ask Michael to confirm. Dropping a live product out of the nav on an inference is the riskier error. (The fifth, 2-70452, is archived — moot.)

      3 · Labels — Jessar's wording or house style?

Their sheet says “Heater & Fan”, “Receptacle / Switch / Dimmer”, “Cords, Outlet Adapters & Power bars”. Shown above in house style (plural, no slashes) to match the rest of the nav. Say the word and I'll use their exact strings instead.

One structural consequence: Power Bars & Surge stops being a top-level link — group 3 absorbs it, and cords-adapters is re-pointed to the union of its four children (52 active vs the sheet's 51; the difference is 3-70629 from decision 2). The collection itself stays, just unlinked from the nav. Nothing is deleted. Generated 2026-08-13 · source work/electrical_menu_v2.json.
